New Bridge to Phra Pha-Daeng

On September 20th, a lesser known thing happened in Bangkok. Not only was there a coup d'etat, but a new bridge finally opened after about 2 years of construction. I believe this is the longest bridge in Bangkok, and perhaps the country as well. This shot was taken a little over 1/2 way across it. We stopped to take a look along with about 20-30 other cars full of people taking pictures. This bridge connects lower Bangkok with one of the least developed parts of the area, due to the lack of roads. Crossing the bridge is like driving 2 hours into the countryside. Great for weekend trips!
