Do you have a favorite spring bulb? Showy tulip? Cheery daffodil? Dramatic iris? Brave snowdrop? Every year I think I do but then I change my mind. I am really loving these newer tulip hybrids I’ve been seeing this year. I love spring and I love how it lasts for months and months here in Portland.

Every spring I walk over to this block near my house that has five of these stunning magnolia trees that bloom the most fragrant flowers for months! I wish I knew the variety. They start right around the time of the daffodils and go all the way past tulips into May.

My day today. Thanks to @uipoptart for the babysitting today, @ceremonyclay for the dinner delivery and @geebsy and @gizm0_0 for brekkie. My surgery consult is 10/1, but I’m on a waiting list for sooner. Possible surgery 10/5. Cross your fingers I can get in earlier. Kaiser is a beast.

My pain is way less today (no more screaming when I move!) and I went off the oxy last night - wish me luck.
